Dignity Intelligence is a 6-hour course consisting of six modules designed to be completed at your own pace. Dignity is a birthright. All people have dignity, yet we are all vulnerable to being treated as if we do not matter. This experience of disregard wounds something very profound in the human spirit. Understanding the role of dignity in the human experience enables us to sustain healthy and thriving relationship, and it also helps us to repair and rebuild relationships that have been broken because of conflict and illuminate paths to reconciliation. When we honor the dignity of others, we can experience the freedom necessary to invite intimacy and connection and to experience belonging. As humans, we all share a longing for dignity that when experienced and recognized in one another creates a sense of safety for each person, something necessary for growth and human development. Methods of Instruction: The instructor will employ a variety of teaching methods including lecture, written assignments, recommended readings, videos, and recommended group discussions in the Community of Practice. This Course Includes Six Learning Modules Module 1 — Dignity & Dignity Consciousness (60 Minutes) In this module, you will learn what dignity is and why it matters. You will also learn the core components of dignity consciousness and practices for cultivating it. Module 2 — Dignity & Dignity Consciousness (90 minutes) In this module, you will learn the definition of dignity intelligence (DI), the core competencies of DI, and practices to strengthen your dignity quotient (DQ). Module 3 — 10 Essential Elements of Dignity (60 Minutes) In this module, you will learn the 10 Essential Elements of Dignity and how to integrate these essential elements with dignity consciousness and dignity intelligence competencies. Module 4 — Actualizing Human Potential in the Workplace (60 Minutes) In this module, you will learn how dignity needs and basic human needs are critical to actualizing human potential in the workplace. Module 5 — 10 Temptations to Violate Dignity (30 Minutes) In this module, you will learn the 10 Temptations to Violate Dignity along communication strategies for leaning into dignity. Module 6 — Dignity & Organization System Designs (60 Minutes) In this module, you will learn the importance of embedding dignity into organization systems design and how this can positively influence employee engagement.
