The Summit is designed to educate attendees relative to administering, managing, and maximizing the utility of retirement plans. It includes presentations from numerous industry expertsregarding the requirements of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”), and best practices for maintaining retirement plans beyond what’s required. Lessons from recent litigation are shared to amplify risks and decisions to avoid. One of the nation’s leading ERISA attorneys provides an ERISA update for retirement plan sponsors. And, this year, the Summit will also focus on providing attendees with a foundation in customization or the so-called trend in offering “Advisor Managed Accounts”. Keeping with prior Summits, several sessions during the day will focus on helping employees improve their financial wellness and how such efforts are tied back to fiduciary obligations imposed through ERISA. The Summit officially begins at 8:30 am and is scheduled to conclude at 3:30 pm. Eight sessions are offered with a ten- minute break scheduled, in addition to 60 minutes for lunch. 320 minutes (6.4 hours) of continuing legal education credit is requested for the Summit as indicated below.
