By completing The OpsMap™ Live working session, participants will be able to: Map a recruiting or HR operations workflow using the OpsMap™ discovery method, exposing where manual data entry, repetitive decisioning, and cross-system handoffs are consuming staff time. Identify three to five automation opportunities inside their own workflow, with rough estimates of time saved per week per person, and distinguish high-value candidates from low-value ones. Apply a simple decision filter to sequence automation projects, prioritizing by volume, complexity, maintenance cost, and strategic impact on the HR function. Evaluate whether a given task is a strong automation candidate or belongs in human judgment, based on criteria grounded in HR operations rather than generic process engineering. Communicate the business case for initial automation projects to HR leadership, using time-saved and error-reduction framing that stands up to analytical scrutiny.

The OpsMap™ Live is a 60–90 minute interactive working session in which HR and talent acquisition practitioners map their own workflows in real time to surface automation opportunities hiding inside everyday work. The session is built around the OpsMap™ phase of the OpsMesh™ framework, a four-phase method for discovering, sprinting, building, and maintaining automations in real HR environments. In this session, participants complete the discovery phase — OpsMap™ — against their own recruiting or HR operations workflow, not a hypothetical case study. The facilitator walks the group through a structured mapping exercise that exposes manual data entry, repetitive decisioning, and handoffs between disconnected systems such as ATS, HRIS, scheduling tools, and email. Participants use guided worksheets to document each friction point, estimate time lost, and identify which tasks are strong automation candidates based on volume, complexity, and judgment required. The working session is intentionally practical. There are no vendor pitches, no software demonstrations, and no abstract theory. Participants leave with a partially completed OpsMap™ of their own workflow, three to five prioritized automation opportunities with rough time-savings estimates, a sequencing plan for what to tackle first, and the worksheets needed to continue the exercise with their team. The session treats automation as a force multiplier for HR — a way to eliminate repetitive digital work so people can focus on judgment, relationships, and strategy. Participants learn to evaluate their own workflows analytically, set realistic expectations with leadership, and build a defensible case for where automation belongs and where it does not. Capped at 30–50 participants to preserve the interactive quality of the session.
