The SHRM Foundation believes that a proactive and well-informed employment initiative can mitigate challenges faced by employers and employees. Through awareness and education, HR professionals can make a positive impact on the employment challenges faced by veterans, military spouses, caregivers and military-connected talent who represent current and potential employees, that will help employees and organizations thrive. This session will provide an overview of the Veterans in the Workplace Initiative and free certification program. We will dig deeper into one of the more popular components of the program by reviewing 15 things Veterans want Hiring Managers to know. Lastly, this session will also introduce the newly launched Getting Talent Back to Work program.
