Completing the Veterans at Work Certificate program will empower you to: 1. Understand the barriers to employment experienced by veterans and members of the military community. 2. Articulate the business case for building a workforce that is equitable and inclusive of veterans and members of the military community. 3. Create organizational strategies to attract, hire, retain, and develop veterans and members of the military community. 4. Educate your stakeholders to reduce barriers faced by the military community. 5. Earn 10 professional development credits toward your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

The SHRM Foundation Veterans at Work Certificate program, generously supported by Comcast NBCUniversal, was developed by the SHRM Foundation for HR professionals, people managers, and business leaders. This course leverages critical insights from subject matter experts and the latest research to equip you with the knowledge and actionable tools necessary to confidently adapt your workplace into one that attracts, hires, and retains both veterans and members of the military community.

The SHRM Foundation Veterans at Work Certificate program is completely free and open to all. You do not need to be a SHRM member, and you do not need to hold a SHRM credential to engage with the content, take the course and earn the Veterans at Work Certificate.

Requirements

·         The SHRM Foundation Veterans at Work Certificate program includes:

·         Five (5) learning modules consisting of video content reinforcing key areas of learning for HR professionals.

·         A review of the Veterans at Work companion resource consisting of the latest research and best practices for HR professionals in attracting, hiring, and retaining veterans and members of the military community.

·         The successful completion of an End-Of-Course Exam and Survey.
