Break common stereotypes about Asian Americans being the "nerd" or "geek." Explain how those stereotypes came to be (ie, immigration policies), and its harmful effects - despite a seemingly positive stereotype. With awareness, we want participants to be able to better recognize stereotypes when they come up (in ourselves and others), and know how to respond to create positive change.
