The presenter will address how to prepare for the possibility of an active shooter event in order to ensure workplace safety for employees and minimize risk for the organization. The seminar will address what an employer can do and needs to do to prepare for an active shooter event, as well as how to manage the aftermath of an active shooter event. This seminar will address education and planning; best practices and policies and procedures when addressing the issue of this type of violence entering the workplace. The following topics will be addressed in this seminar: Risk Assessment, Analysis and the evaluation of company facilities, Preparing for an active shooter event, Creating an Internal Crisis Response Team, Identifying the characteristics of the Active Shooter and Emergency Notification Protocols.
