On time. In budget. What they need (even if that changes!). These are moving targets and yet, you're expected to deliver all three. Agile methods dominate the software development space, in large part because: Agile methods improve the ability to meet schedule deadlines Agile quality is better than traditional norms Agile methods continue to provide users with a competitive advantage It's no wonder that other organizational functions are beginning to eye Agile methods as an attractive option for project management, decision making, and prioritization. Agile provides a framework for adapting to change as it happens and working with the project sponsor to deliver the content most needed by learners. While elearning teams can benefit greatly from adopting Agile, this workshop addresses specific adaptations to Agile methods proven to be effective for instructional designers and developers. The design of this workshop allows you to practice on your own work projects so you’re getting real work done while you’re learning! (And you’ve got a much more meaningful job aid when you’re done to help you remember key concepts.) The context for this material is the workplace learning environment, although higher education and K-12 educators are welcome to join. The techniques we’ll discuss apply broadly to face-to-face, virtual classroom, and online self-paced learning of all sorts. Class time & activities This asynchronous course includes over 3 hours of video, more than a dozen activities and 3 assignments that will be submitted for personalized review. Takeaways You’ll receive a LLAMA Learning Guide which includes the following useful tools: Business Goals & Learner Goals template Learner Persona template Iterations template Workplan template Project Prioritization template Weekly Status Report template
