DescriptionLocation Under the Homeland Security Act, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER) enforces the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigrant and Nationality Act by targeting, investigating, and administering enforcement actions against employers that intentionally discriminate against U.S. workers. Federal law prohibits citizenship and national origin discrimination, unfair documentary practices, and retaliation or intimidation during employment eligibility verification, Form I-9 and E-Verify.
