Identify at least 2 proactive leadership behaviors (e.g., self-monitoring cycles, report-out coaching, SOP-aligned mentoring) that reduce the likelihood of operational or communication crises in ABA organizations. Analyze a crisis scenario by mapping at least 2 entangled organizational variables (e.g., recruitment, QA, scheduling, burnout) and describing how measurement of one variable influences system-wide outcomes. Demonstrate the ability to draft a crisis-communication response plan that includes the first leadership actions required within the early stages of a crisis.

Crisis communication in behavioral health organizations is not simply about what leaders say during a crisis—it is the product of the leadership systems they have designed long before anything goes wrong. Drawing from the presenter's experience leading a large-scale ABA organization through disruptions including COVID-19, financial volatility, operational breakdowns, and internal crises, this presentation will share a dual-lens approach that merges intentional OBM practices with quantum-inspired leadership principles. The presenters will highlight a proactive organizational design grounded in 5 OBM principles, coaching structures built on self-monitoring and report-out cycles, and SOP-driven professional development systems that expose vulnerabilities early and reduce the probability of communication failures. In addition, this presentation will introduce the Quantum Measurement principle of leadership and the concept of organizational entanglement—showing how precise measurement collapses uncertainty into action, and how identifying the right KPI can stabilize entire systems during high-stakes moments. Altogether, this presentation will outline a crisis communication methodology that integrates early-warning leadership systems, measurement-driven decision making, stakeholder-specific messaging protocols, and first-48-hour alignment strategies. Attendees will leave with actionable tools to build crisis-ready ABA organizations where communication remains consistent, liability is reduced, and leadership clarity transforms potential disasters into demonstrations of organizational resilience.
