Consistently one of OSHA’s most cited standards, Hazard Communication (29 CFR 1910.1200) requires employers to ensure chemical hazards are properly identified, labeled, and communicated in the workplace. This course is built for leaders, supervisors, and purchasing personnel who influence what chemicals enter the workplace — and how safely they are managed. Participants will learn how to develop and maintain an effective HazCom program by strengthening procurement controls, container labeling, SDS management, employee training, and contractor communication. The training emphasizes how management systems work together to ensure employees have access to the right information and the right protections before they work around hazardous materials. Through real-world examples, practical tools, and group discussion, attendees will gain confidence in program ownership, documentation requirements, and strategies for preventing citations and chemical-related incidents.
