An Executive order and subsequent Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires federal contractors to enroll and use E-Verify in electronically verifying the employment eligibility of employees working under federal contracts containing the Employment Verification Eligibility Clause (a.k.a. FAR E-Verify clause). The order and the rule reinforce Federal government policy that the Federal government partners only with organizations that employ a legal workforce. This webinar, provided by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), will demonstrate how E-Verify works, timelines for enrollment, how to verify new and existing employees working on a qualified federal contract, and exemption and exceptions for federal contractors who have been awarded a federal contract with the FAR E-Verify clause. This one-hour webinar, useful for prospective and new E-Verify users, is eligible for 1 professional development credit through SHRM and HRCI.
