Being an effective HR professional is not just knowing the body of knowledge that defines the profession but being able to apply that knowledge to respond to business needs and create sustainable value. For 33 years, the Human Resource Competency Study (HRCS) has answered the question: “What knowledge and abilities are necessary for successful HR professionals?” Over 90,000 individuals have participated in the HRCS since its inception, making it the largest empirically validated global study on HR competencies ever completed. The HRCS is a research-based synthesis of the critical knowledge, skills, and attributes essential for effective HR professionals. This research defines a powerful approach for building individual HR professionals so that they can deliver the right results the right way. The HRCS Feedback Workshop focuses on helping participants understand the HR competencies needed to develop both personally and professionally. Participants learn to implement ideas with impact, think outside-in, and contribute to business performance by: • Learning and understanding what makes a great HR professional. • More clearly understanding their personal and professional strengths and weaknesses. • Crafting a development plan that will improve their effectiveness in delivering the required results.
