The goal of this session is to think about how your current digital health contracts are structured — and whether they're actually holding vendors accountable for outcomes. Reviewing one of your own contracts for a digital solution before you join will help you engage more concretely with the discussion. Existing contracts with a digital solution are not required – these PBC principles can be applied broadly. No mention of pricing or other confidential information will be discussed during this session.

1. Do you currently have any digital health solutions under contract (e.g., diabetes, mental health, MSK)? If yes, think about the contracting process and some of the key decisions and/or pain points you encountered throughout the process. 2. How is your vendor(s) currently getting paid? Flat monthly fee per member, a fee per visit or session, a payment tied to outcomes — or some combination? If you're not sure, try to find out before the session. 3. Does your contract include any kind of performance guarantee? If so, what does the vendor have to achieve, and what happens if they don't? Look for mentions of "performance guarantee," "clawback," or "outcome-based payment." 4. Do you receive regular reporting from your vendor? If so, what's in it, and does it give you a real picture of whether the solution is working? 5. If you were to go back and start from scratch, what changes would you make to ensure you are getting real value out of your contracts?
