Key Topics Covered: Introduction to Lean: Understanding the fundamentals of Lean and its applications across industries, with an emphasis on waste elimination. Lean Pioneers and Toyota Production System: Exploring the contributions of Lean pioneers like Sakichi Toyoda, Henry Ford, and Taiichi Ohno, as well as an introduction to the Toyota Production System (TPS). Value Stream Mapping and 5S: Learning to create Value Stream Maps to identify areas of waste and implement the 5S methodology for workplace organization. 8 Wastes and Poka-Yoke: Identifying the eight types of waste (defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilized talent, transportation, inventory, motion, and extra-processing) and utilizing mistake-proofing techniques (Poka-Yoke). Jidoka, Just-In-Time, and Kaizen: Gaining insights into Jidoka (autonomation), Just-In-Time production, and the concept of Kaizen for continuous improvement. Genchi Genbutsu: Applying the principle of "go and see" to truly understand the process and identify improvement opportunities.
