The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification program is designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: - Comprehend the basic concepts of Lean and Six Sigma, including their history, objectives, and benefits. - Understand the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework and its application in process improvement projects. - Identify and describe the seven types of waste (TIMWOOD) in processes: Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing, and Defects. - Develop and interpret SIPOC (Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs, Customers) diagrams to map out processes and identify key elements. - Create and analyze Value Stream Maps to visualize process flows and identify areas for improvement. - Implement the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to organize and maintain efficient and safe workspaces. - Understand the concept of a Six Sigma process and the significance of reducing variation to improve quality. - Utilize basic statistical tools to measure process performance and capability. - Apply Control Charts to monitor process stability and detect variations over time. - Recognize the importance of Process Control Plans and develop strategies to maintain improvements. - Participate effectively in Lean Six Sigma project teams, contributing to data collection, analysis, and solution implementation. - Communicate process improvements and results to stakeholders using appropriate Lean Six Sigma terminology and tools.
