Coming Out: What it Means for Your Colleagues 5. The Impact of Intersectionality 6. Micro-Aggressions and LGBTQIA+ Discrimination in the Workplace 7. Becoming an Ally Participants will gain an understanding of the cultural context and language defining the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as learn strategies to mitigate their biases, creating more fair and respectful workplaces in the process. Interspersed within the professional development content, participants learn about themselves with two scientifically validated personal assessments. Participants receive their results and explanations of what those results mean (and what they don’t mean). Thanks to the two personal assessments, participants will better understand their own potential biases in the workplace towards members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
