In an era defined by rapid technological advancement, organizational complexity, and increasing uncertainty, the role of the HR Business Partner is undergoing fundamental transformation. As automation and AI continue to absorb transactional and process-driven HR work, the value of the HRBP is no longer determined by execution efficiency or functional expertise alone, but by the ability to exercise sound judgment in complex, ambiguous, and high-stakes situations. The primary objective of this course is to develop and strengthen HRBP judgment capability—the capacity to make structured, defensible, and context-aware decisions that meaningfully influence organizational outcomes. Rather than focusing on isolated tools or best practices, the course is designed to help participants understand how HR judgment is formed, elevated, and applied across different organizational realities. Through a combination of theoretical frameworks and scenario-based analysis, participants will examine how HRBP roles are being redefined under technological disruption, where the boundaries of HRBP value are shifting, and how organizations actually operate beyond formal structures and policies. The course introduces a layered model of judgment development, drawing on the Dreyfus Model of Skill Acquisition and SHRM-BASK Framework, to help participants move from rule-dependent decision-making toward strategic and situational judgment. Equally important, the course emphasizes application in high-frequency, real-world contexts, including workforce demand conflicts, performance management challenges in global expansion, and moments when HR professionals face doubts about their own professional value. By working through these scenarios, participants will learn how to clarify decision boundaries, assess trade-offs, and articulate HR judgments with greater confidence and credibility. Ultimately, this course aims to reposition HRBPs not as reactive problem solvers, but as **trusted judgment partners** who can navigate uncertainty, manage organizational tension, and contribute to sustainable business decisions in the age of AI.
