Describe how our eyes and ears can “trick” us because of how our brain and biology work together. 3. Recognize that there are many kinds of bias baked into our DNA that can drive how we react to others. 4. Define what true culture is, and recognize your own unique culture. 5. Encourage behavior that values the benefits of diversity in every facet of life. 6. Explain that emotions result from a variety of factors, and how the Cognitive Appraisal Theory of Emotion can help us manage our emotions. 7. Describe how "Active Listening" is very different from "hearing".
