Participants will be able to evaluate whether or not they need a written agreement for remote/hybrid workers. (Hint: You do!) Participants will understand the particular concerns raised by non-exempt employees working remotely, including off the clock work and meal/rest period compliance. Participants will be able to articulate the two approaches to remote/hybrid work reimbursements and will be able to choose a course of action for their organization.

Course Objective #1: Participants will be able to describe 3 ways accreditation standards support governance, operational accountability, and service quality improvement in human service organizations. Course Objective #2: Participants will be able to identify at least 3 key elements of continuous quality improvement (CQI) systems that align with national accreditation standards. Course Objective #3: Participants will be able to list 3 practical strategies organizations can use to integrate accreditation standards into everyday operational management rather than episodic survey preparation.

Course Objective #1: Participants will be able to identify eight priority security areas — Security Risk Assessment, access controls and offboarding, Business Associate Agreements, encryption, audit logging, incident response planning, backup and recovery, and security tooling — describe what good looks like in each, and name the compliance framework (HIPAA, NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls) each area draws from. Course Objective #2: Participants will be able to prepare the Security & Compliance Checklist — completed with their leadership team and IT partner after the session — to identify their organization's most significant security gap and articulate why it matters in terms of HIPAA compliance exposure, operational risk, or managed care plan contract requirements. Course Objective #3: Participants will be able to describe a prioritized sequence for closing common security gaps — distinguishing between areas addressable with policy and process versus those requiring technology investment — and identify at least one applicable funding pathway for their organization's specific situation.

Course Objective #1: Identify at least three supervision strategies that accelerate clinical skill-building and reduce practice errors in pre-licensed and early-career providers working in child and family services settings. Course Objective #2: Describe how structured, intentional supervision functions as a workforce retention tool, including specific approaches supervisors can implement to improve early-career clinician confidence and reduce burnout-driven turnover. Course Objective #3: Apply a culturally responsive supervision framework to real-world scenarios common in child welfare and family-serving behavioral health settings, including how to surface and address equity-related barriers in the supervisory relationship.

Participants will understand the current landscape of PAGA claims and settlement demands. Participants will understand strategies to prepare for a PAGA claim Participants will be able to evaluate the necessity of arbitration agreements, as well as a full wage and hour audit.

Objective #1 (Regulatory Oversight): Identify four core components of a data-driven approach and articulate one measurable improvement goal that directly addresses an Administrative Duty (e.g., reducing SIRs or increasing staff retention). Objective #2 (Risk Mitigation): Examine Power BI dashboards to identify at least three "Red Flags" that indicate a facility is drifting out of compliance with Interim Licensing Standards. Objective #3 (Corrective Action): Convert data into an Administrative Management Action by developing a mock communication strategy to address sub-standard performance in a way that promotes facility-wide accountability.

Course Objective #1: Participants will be able to define at least 3 key distinctions between types of AI tools — large language models, chatbots, and automation tools — and explain the operational implications of each for a child and family service organization. Course Objective #2: Participants will be able to identify and describe the 5 core components of an organizational AI policy and explain how each component protects client confidentiality and staff accountability in a behavioral health or child welfare setting. Course Objective #3: Participants will be able to list at least 3 practical, low-risk AI use cases applicable to child and family service organizations and describe one concrete implementation step they will take within their own organization within 30 days.

Course Objective #1: Participants will be able to identify 5 key components of a self-sustaining school-based behavioral health ecosystem. Course Objective #2: Participants will be able to identify 1 workforce strategy that will impact the delivery of behavioral health services in schools. Course Objective #3: Participants will be able to list 3 strategies for strengthening tiered behavioral health supports in school settings.

Course Objective #1: Participants will be able to describe 3 barriers to organizational change in a multi-year commitment to culture, accountability, and quality outcomes for the youth and families we serve Course Objective #2: Participants will be able to identify how each year built upon the previous one: moving excellence from a concept to a system, to a culture, to a recognized strength Course Objective #3: Participants will list and describe tools leaders can use to create excellence in their organization

Course Objective #1: Participants will be able to identify and describe the 4 phases of a nonprofit technology transformation roadmap and explain the sequencing rationale for each phase — including why the security and compliance baseline must precede cloud migration and AI investment. Course Objective #2: Participants will be able to name at least 3 measurable outcomes achieved by the featured Alliance member organizations following technology transformation and describe how those outcomes connected to mission delivery. Course Objective #3: Participants will be able to list at least 3 common barriers to technology transformation in nonprofit settings and identify one practical strategy for addressing each barrier within their own organization.
